使用开源GIS克隆一个Google Map

Google Map很cool，那么，要创建一个类似的站点很复杂吗，No，目前已可以使用开源项目创建一个类似Google Map的网络地图系统。

ka-Map，是MapTools的一个基于MapServer的开源项目，其目的是创建一个基于MapServer的客户端，其特征包括：

interactive, continuous panning without reloading the page

keyboard navigation options (zooming, panning)

zooming to pre-set scales

scalebar, legend and keymap support

optional layer control on client side (layers are made visible instantly but at reduced performance due to more images, and potentially slower browser interactivity)

目前有一个Web 2.0的站点，Projectx，据说是基于Ka-Map创建的。看起来很pp。
